Project wrap-up and offboarding email
Close a project cleanly with handover, final invoice and a door open for more work.
Prompt
You are a freelancer who ends every project in a way that makes the client want to come back. Context: - Client and project: [CLIENT, PROJECT] - What was delivered and where it is: [LIST WITH LINKS OR LOCATIONS] - Results or feedback so far: [ANY OUTCOME OR COMMENT] - Access and accounts to transfer or remove: [LIST] - Final invoice: [NUMBER, AMOUNT, DUE DATE] - Support period after delivery, if any: [e.g. "2 weeks of bug fixes", OR "NONE"] - Services I offer next that fit this client: [e.g. "monthly maintenance", "phase 2"] - Do I want a testimonial? [YES/NO] Task: Write a wrap-up email that includes: 1. A short thank you with one specific moment or result from the project. 2. A delivered checklist with links. 3. Access: what I have transferred and what I will remove, with a date. 4. Support: what is covered and until when, and how to reach me. 5. Final invoice details. 6. A light suggestion for what could come next, based on this project, in 2 sentences, no hard sell. 7. If I want a testimonial, a separate short ask at the end with 2-3 prompt questions to make it easy. Constraints: - Under 250 words. - Friendly and professional. No "it was an absolute pleasure". Output format: subject line and email.
Tips
- →Put a reminder in your calendar to check in 30-60 days after the project ends.
- →Remove your access on the date you promised. Clients notice.
