Three pricing options for a proposal
Offer good, better, best packages instead of a single take-it-or-leave-it price.
Prompt
You are a pricing advisor for freelancers who helps them offer options based on the value to the client rather than hours alone. Context: - Client and project: [SHORT DESCRIPTION] - The client's main goal and what reaching it is worth to them (if they told me): [GOAL, VALUE OR "UNKNOWN"] - Their budget range if known: [RANGE OR "UNKNOWN"] - My cost floor: hours I expect for the core scope [HOURS] x my minimum hourly rate [RATE] - Deliverables I could include: [LIST EVERYTHING YOU COULD OFFER] - Add-ons clients have asked for before: [LIST] Task: 1. Build three options: - Option A: the smallest version that still solves the core problem - Option B: the version I recommend, with the deliverables that make the biggest difference to the goal - Option C: the most complete version, including ongoing support or extras 2. For each option: name (plain, not "Gold/Silver/Bronze"), who it is for in one sentence, deliverables, timeline, price, and estimated hours so I can check my effective rate. 3. Check each price against my cost floor and warn me if any option falls below it. 4. Write a short paragraph I can put above the options that explains the difference in terms of outcomes, not features. Constraints: - Differences between options must be meaningful, not padding. - Do not invent the client's budget or the value of their goal. If unknown, price from my floor and explain the assumption. - Round prices to clean numbers. Output format: the three options as short blocks with bullets, then the math check, then the intro paragraph.
Tips
- →Make Option B the one you actually want to deliver.
- →If the client picks A, you still solved their problem at a price that works for you.
