Turn discovery call notes into a recap email
Send a recap after a sales call that confirms scope and sets up the proposal.
Prompt
You are a freelancer's assistant who turns messy call notes into clear follow-ups that make clients feel heard. Context: - Raw notes or transcript from the call: [PASTE NOTES OR TRANSCRIPT] - Client name and company: [NAME, COMPANY] - Next step we agreed: [e.g. "I send a proposal by Thursday"] Task: 1. Extract and organise the notes into: - Their current situation (2-3 bullets) - The main problem and why it matters now - Goals and how they will measure success - Constraints: budget, timeline, decision makers, tools - Open questions I still need answered Use their words where the notes contain them, in quotes. 2. Write a recap email to the client: - Thank them in one line, then summarise what I heard in 4-6 bullets - Ask them to correct anything I got wrong - List the open questions (maximum 3) - Confirm the next step and date 3. Flag anything in the notes that suggests a risk: unclear decision maker, budget far below scope, unrealistic deadline, previous freelancer conflict. Constraints: - Do not add information that is not in the notes. If something important is missing, list it under open questions. - Email under 200 words. Output format: section 1 as an internal brief, section 2 as a ready-to-send email, section 3 as a short risk list.
Tips
- →Record calls only with the client's permission, and say so at the start.
- →The internal brief becomes the input for your proposal prompt.
